Outdoor climate and room climate

The basis for the building specific climate classification (Liedl, 2011) is given by the room conditioning necessary to ensure a comfortable room climate under various outdoor climate conditions with regard to temperature and humidity: heating, humidifying, heating and humidifying, cooling, dehumidifying, cooling and dehumidifying. Sometimes it is possible to use adiabatic cooling. The international comfort zone according to ASHRAE-55 with low air velocities forms the basis.

ASHRAE-55 - an international standard - is used to define a comfort area for low wind speeds. Basic measurements with regard to the room conditioning were concluded (cf. Olgay 1963).
