Daylight

Daylight provision in a room is determined by the level of daylight transmission in the glazing, the percentage of glazing overall, and the outdoor illuminance when the sky is overcast. In ClimateTool, room depths combined with these parameters show where the levels of illuminance needed for office work will be reached.

Daylight provision. In ClimateTool the daylight provision in the room could be estimated for different glazing percentages and different rates of daylight transmission of the glazing.

The horizontal illuminance is in direct interaction with the solar radiation.
